Media Sac has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Hadhramout University, Aden University, and Taiz University as part of its efforts to promote Media and Information Literacy (MIL) concepts among youth and university students in Yemen.
These agreements aim to support the launch and activation of Media Clubs within the targeted universities, contributing to the creation of interactive youth spaces dedicated to raising media awareness, strengthening critical thinking, and addressing misinformation and hate speech in digital spaces.
In partnership with Media Sac, the Media Clubs will organize youth-led awareness and educational sessions within the universities, in addition to implementing media activities and initiatives that promote responsible digital behavior and encourage constructive dialogue among students.
This step comes within the framework of a project focused on preparing and empowering young women and men as “MIL Multipliers” through specialized training in information verification, digital safety, content creation, and addressing hate speech.
Media Sac emphasized that these partnerships represent an important step toward strengthening the sustainability of Media and Information Literacy activities within universities and empowering youth to play an active role in building a more aware and responsible digital media environment.
