With the support of Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, Media Sac for Media and Development concluded a training workshop on ‘Basics of Producing Investigative Reports’ in Al-Mahra Governorate, Thursday, September 9.

The training workshop targeted 20 male and female journalists from Al-Mahra Governorate and lasted for 6 days, with the aim of building the capacities of journalists in the fields of investigative journalism.

The training workshop focused on defining investigative journalism, the difference between investigative journalism and traditional journalism, the importance of investigative journalism, types of journalistic investigations, and formulating investigative ideas. It also focused on how to transform ideas into hypotheses, preparing a research plan, choosing the appropriate template for an investigative report, and implementing visual investigative reports.
